Kentucky Science and Technology Council, Inc., later re-named the Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation (KSTC), is founded by Lee Todd and Kris Kimel as a non-profit entity to the advance science, technology and innovative economic development in Kentucky

IdeaFestival®

launches in Lexington as a biannual live event to provide a “space” to promote the discussion and application of innovation, curiosity, discovery and disruptive thinking

Kentucky Innovation Act, a result of the Science and Technology Strategy designed by KSTC in 1999, is adopted into law and provides $53 million in new economic development, research and technology transfer programs and initiatives

Space Tango

launches as program at KSTC. Space Tango facilitates research and manufacturing in the microgravity environment from design to implementation expanding opportunities for biomedical and technology applications.
